Synokem Pharma — An Industry 4.0-Aligned AI Transformation Journey

Synokem Pharma is a CDMO (Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization) with multi-functional operations spanning research, production, and international business.
The Challenge
As part of its Industry 4.0 compliance and modernization agenda, Synokem needed to build organization-wide AI readiness — a complex undertaking given the diversity of functions involved (research, production, international business) and the need to align capability building across multiple manufacturing plants as well as the Head Office, all while maintaining operational continuity.
LDC’s Approach
LDC began not with a training calendar, but with structured discovery — conducting in-depth conversations with all Heads of Departments (HODs) to understand function-specific AI opportunities, constraints, and readiness levels, ensuring the resulting program would be genuinely cross-functional rather than generically technical.
Solution Implemented
From these discussions, LDC co-created an AI transformation charter for Synokem, followed by batch-wise capability development delivered across all manufacturing plants and the Head Office — sequenced to reach every level of the organizational hierarchy as part of Synokem’s broader Industry 4.0 compliance initiative.
Impact
The program has reached more than 500 trainees spanning every level of the organization, embedding AI readiness deep into Synokem’s operational fabric and giving the company a documented, leadership-endorsed charter to guide continued AI adoption.
