DCM Shriram — Hierarchy-Wide Capability Development

DCM SHriram training

Client Overview

DCM Shriram is a diversified, multi-sector conglomerate with operations spanning manufacturing, power, finance, and other industries.

The Challenge

With a large, multi-layered workforce spanning Management Trainees, Engineer Trainees, and junior-to-mid level employees across diverse business lines, DCM Shriram needed a capability development approach that could work across very different roles, seniority levels, and functional contexts — without becoming a generic, one-size-fits-all program that would fail to land at any level.

LDC’s Approach

LDC partnered closely with DCM Shriram’s leadership to define and identify specific training areas relevant to each hierarchy tier, distinguishing between the functional capability needs of technical trainees and the broader behavioural development needs of employees transitioning into people-facing or cross-functional roles.

Solution Implemented

A structured, tiered capability development program was rolled out — covering functional skill-building for Management and Engineer Trainees, alongside behavioural improvement programs for junior and mid-level employees, designed to scale consistently across DCM Shriram’s multiple business verticals.

Impact

The engagement has covered approximately 1,000 trainees to date, reflecting a sustained, long-term capability-building partnership that continues to evolve alongside DCM Shriram’s workforce needs across its diversified business portfolio.
